	2. Operator Input: When the operator moves the control lever (e.g., boom lift), the lever mechanical linkage (or electric actuator) shifts the valve spool.
	3. Signal Transmission: Spool movement opens flow paths, directing pilot oil to the corresponding chamber of the high-pressure main control valve.
	4. Main Valve Actuation: The pilot oil pressure pushes the main valve spool, allowing high-pressure hydraulic oil (20–35 MPa / 2,900–5,075 psi) to flow to the boom cylinder – initiating the lifting action.
	5. Neutral Position: When the lever is released, the spring centers the spool, cutting off pilot oil to the main valve and stopping the movement.
Core Functions	1. Precise Movement Control: Translates operator lever input into hydraulic signals to regulate excavator movements (boom, arm, bucket, turntable) – ensures smooth, proportional control (e.g., slow, precise bucket tilting for loading).
	2. Pressure Signal Amplification: Uses low-pressure pilot oil to actuate high-pressure main valves – reduces operator effort (vs. direct manual actuation of main valves).
	3. Fail-Safe Operation: Spring-centered spool prevents unintended movement if the operator releases controls or power is lost – enhances job site safety.
	4. Circuit Protection: Integrated relief valve and surge resistance prevent pilot circuit damage from pressure spikes – extends valve service life.
